Job summary

TRISTAR is seeking a skilled System Engineer to work on requirements development, system architecture, interfaces, integration, and lifecycle sustainment. The role emphasizes analyzing complex engineering needs and producing technical documentation while supporting verification and validation activities.

The ideal candidate will have DoD-related experience, strong analytical and writing skills, and the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• Seven years of systems engineering or related experience.
• Experience with requirements management and traceability.
• Experience in architecture, interfaces, integration and verification.
• Translate operational needs into technical requirements.
• Produce technical documents and assessments.
• Identify risks and mitigation actions.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain TS/SCI security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze needs and develop/allocate system requirements with traceability.
• Support architectures, baselines, design options, and trade studies.
• Develop and review ICDs and coordinate interfaces.
• Assist lab and field integration and resolve interface issues.
• Define verification methods and support test plans and reports.
• Participate in SRR/SFR/PDR/CDR/TRR reviews.
• Track risks, issues, dependencies, root causes, and actions.
• Evaluate ECPs and design changes for impacts to requirements.
• Prepare specifications, reports, and engineering documents.
• Support reliability, maintainability, and sustainment activities.
