Job summary

SMX is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect for the Department of War initiatives. You will lead architectural design, drive complex solution delivery, and mentor delivery teams across multiple engagements.

The role emphasizes cloud operations, DevSecOps, and risk-aware decision making. The position requires Top Secret clearance, a CS degree or equivalent experience, and 10+ years in architecture or systems engineering within corporate or government environments.

Qualifications

Top Secret clearance required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or commensurate experience.
At least 10 years in architecture, systems engineering or related roles.
Experience as Solution Architect with full life-cycle customer implementations.
Experience with Agile, Waterfall, SAFe and modern IT practices including DevSecOps.

Responsibilities

Provide technical expertise on complex solution architecting and project issue resolution.
Lead architecture and specification development for next generation solutions.
Provide technical leadership through coaching and mentorship.
Develop and institutionalize go-to-market strategies for software applications and solutions.
Lead and participate in proposal development and technical resource planning.
