Apex Systems is seeking a senior program manager to lead DoD cost and schedule management for Air Force Research Laboratory portfolios, ensuring APB alignment and PMBOK-guided execution. The role requires active PM skills, SAP experience, and clearance readiness.

Onsite at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, the position demands DoD certifications, DoD 5000-series compliance, and strong communication with cross-functional teams. Eligible candidates must be U.S. citizens with security clearances.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required and DoD cost/schedule management experience.
• 10+ years of DoD cost and schedule management experience.
• PMP certification is required.
• 5 years SAP experience is required.
• DAWIA Advanced/Level III PM certification to be obtained within 24 months.
• U.S. citizenship required; no foreign nationals.
• Ability to obtain/maintain DD Form 254 clearance; complete OPSEC training within 30 days.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 and Adobe Acrobat; troubleshoot issues independently.
• Strong written and oral communication; professional decorum.

Responsibilities

• Lead management of technical projects per APB following DoD 5000-series and PMBOK.
• Own IMS in MS Project; integrate with WBS and update monthly.
• Assess program health metrics and brief during PMRs and milestones.
• Direct execution of risk management with documented mitigations within 5 days.
• Develop acquisition documentation and maintain suspense with minimal rework.
• Maintain SysML models in MBSE environment and update within 5 days of changes.
• Provide senior program communications and mentor Journeyman PMs.
