Job summary

Forge Forward Inc. seeks a Senior Network Engineer in Charleston, SC to lead design, integration, and security of enterprise networking and Linux infrastructure supporting mission-critical DoD systems.

The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, automation development, and compliance with DISA STIGs and RMF controls. Strong experience with Cisco/Juniper gear, RHEL, and vulnerability remediation is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in enterprise IT or DoD environments.
• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
• Active SECRET clearance required; TS/SCI desired.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, secure, and sustain enterprise networking and Linux infrastructure.
• Administer and troubleshoot RHEL systems (SELinux, firewalld, DNS, identity integration).
• Analyze and resolve complex connectivity and performance issues.
• Develop and maintain automation with Ansible, Bash, Python, Terraform.
• Ensure compliance with DISA STIGs, RMF controls, and DoD cybersecurity policies.
• Support vulnerability management and continuous monitoring.
