Job summary

Telos Corporation in Ashburn, VA seeks a Senior Network Engineer to administer Cisco-based networks and ensure DoD-compliant security. You will manage routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs, implement patching per DoD guidelines, and work with HBSS/ACAS/eMASS tools.

Requirements include a BS in CS/IT, 5–7 years of networking, DoD 8570-M IAT III certs (CISSP/CASP+), CCNA/CCNP, and an active DoD Secret or ability to obtain one. US citizenship required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of networking experience.
• DoD 8570.01-M Baseline Certifications for IAT Level III (CISSP, CASP+)
• Relevant OEM certifications such as CCNA or CCNP.
• Experience administering Cisco networking devices in a DoD environment.
• Knowledge of Cisco IOS, routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), and switching.
• Experience with LAN/WAN/VPN topologies.
• Strong patch management and vulnerability remediation knowledge per DoD guidelines.
• Familiarity with HBSS, ACAS, and eMASS.
• Excellent troubleshooting and customer-facing communication skills.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Cisco networking infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other Cisco devices.
• Monitor, analyze, and maintain health, performance, and security of Cisco networking infrastructure.
• Develop and implement patch management processes for Cisco devices per DoD guidelines.
• Design, implement, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, and VPN configurations.
• Troubleshoot and remediate networking issues; collaborate with customers for outages.
• Interact with customers to understand issues and provide expert guidance.
