Job summary

World Wide Technology, Inc. is seeking a Senior Network Engineer with 8+ years in enterprise networking and cybersecurity to support DoD environments. You will design secure, high-speed networks, deploy NGFWs, and integrate sensor telemetry into security operations platforms.

Responsibilities include multi-site routing, zero-trust segmentation, encrypted interconnects, and DoD compliance. Strong automation skills with Python/Ansible are valued; San Antonio, TX-based role with clearances and DoD

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required.
• Minimum 8+ years of progressive, hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering and network security infra within DoD/intelligence/federal environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (or 12+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree).
• Expertise with enterprise routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, ISIS), VLAN/VXLAN design, spine-leaf, and hardware (Cisco Nexus/Catalyst, Juniper Junos, Arista EOS).
• 4+ years configuring Next-Generation Firewalls (Palo Alto PAN-OS, Fortinet FortiGate, or Cisco Secure Firewall) and zero-trust policies.
• Experience deploying network visibility solutions (TAPs, SPAN/RSPAN, packet brokers, network sensors).
• Knowledge of DISA STIGs, SCAP tools, and secure boundary enforcement; DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certs (e.g., Security+, CySA+).

Responsibilities

• Enterprise Network Architecture & Operations: design and maintain multi-site routing, switching, and transport backbones across DoD environments.
• Network Security & Boundary Defense: deploy and manage NGFWs, zero-trust policies, micro-segmentation, IPS/IDS.
• Sensor Infrastructure & Telemetry Ingestion: implement TAPs, packet brokers, and sensors for telemetry ingestion into security platforms.
• DoD Compliance & Network Hardening: align with STIGs, boundary protection and RMF/ATO requirements.
• Cyber Operations & SIEM Pipeline Alignment: route and feed logs to ELK/Splunk/Kafka for real-time threat detection.
• Encrypted Transport & Secure Interconnects: manage IPsec VPNs, MACsec, and HAIPE tunnels; ensure confidentiality.
• Network Automation & Programmability: develop automation playbooks using Python, Ansible, REST APIs.
• Performance Tuning & High Availability: optimize QoS, MLAG/vPC, and high-availability fabrics.
• Incident Response & Forensics Collaboration: support investigations with PCAP analysis and containment.
• Documentation & ATO Artifacts: produce topologies, IP schemas, and RMF/ATO artifacts.
