Job summary

World Wide Technology (WWT) seeks a Systems Engineer to lead deployment, integration, and sustainment of enterprise cybersecurity platforms in DoD environments. You will bridge bare-metal hardware, OS, virtualization, containers, and data telemetry pipelines across secure networks.

The role involves designing robust platforms, automation scripts in Python and Bash, and collaborating with cyber defense operators and engineers.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, CS, CE, Cybersecurity, IT or related field.
• 4+ years in DoD, intelligence, or federal mission environments.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and sustain bare-metal compute servers, storage and networking for DoD cyber defense.
• Deploy, scale, and manage containerized workloads (Docker) and VMs (ESXi/KVM) with multi-tenant isolation.
• Administer Linux systems (RHEL, Rocky, CentOS, Ubuntu) and harden per STIGs.
• Develop Python and Bash scripts to automate configurations, diagnostics, patching, and workflows.
• Integrate network forensics tools (Zeek, Suricata) and telemetry pipelines (Elastic Stack).
• Support data ingestion and telemetry delivery to analytic engines and DoD cloud components.
• Collaborate with cyber defense operators, SOC, and engineering to translate requirements into specs.
• Create architecture blueprints, SOPs, and data-flow diagrams for ATO lifecycle.
