Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Budget/Financial Analyst III to provide senior budget analysis and financial management support to an Army client in a fast-paced, HQ-level environment in Crystal City, Arlington, VA. The role emphasizes funding strategies, compliance with DoD policies, and collaboration with senior stakeholders.

The candidate will lead budget submissions, develop spend plans, and deliver timely financial insight to inform leadership decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 8–10 years of experience in federal financial management, budgeting, and execution.
• Familiarity with PPBE process and DoD budget cycles required.

Responsibilities

• Lead detailed budget submissions, funding justifications, and supporting materials for Army and DoD reviews.
• Develop and manage spend plans; track obligations and disbursements; provide variance analysis and performance reporting.
• Support full PPBE cycle, including program build, budget justification, execution review, and year-end close activities.
• Coordinate with Requirement Owners and COR to validate funding needs and ensure accurate budget documentation.
• Prepare executive-level briefings and dashboards communicating financial performance and risk.
