Job summary

The Marvin Group, a leading defense contractor in Southern California, seeks an experienced engineer to drive program and project engineering across the product development lifecycle for pneumatic, mechanical, and electro-mechanical systems. You will coordinate with DoD programs, translate requirements into technical plans, and manage milestones and risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or systems engineering; 7+ years in aerospace/defense preferred.
• Strong CAD reading and GD&T experience; able to interpret drawings and notes.
• Understanding of materials used in aerospace/defense and related manufacturing processes.
• Experience across the engineering product development lifecycle from requirements to production.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support engineering activities across the product development lifecycle from award to production and sustainment.
• Define problem statements within development programs to meet customer requirements.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to drive technical and programmatic deliverables to customers.
• Lead with subcontractors for analyses and testing and manage inputs/outputs to milestones.
• Build technical understanding to bridge R&D with Contracts, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality.
• Drive SETR events (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) and contribute to milestone decisions.
• Support schedules, risk management, and risk/opportunity profiles for programs.
• Contribute to technical sections of proposals, aligning approach with DoD standards.
