Job summary

MSSI, Inc. in Huntsville, AL, is seeking an Acquisition Lead SME to support the Army program office. The role demands expert knowledge of DoD acquisition, lifecycle management, and contracting support to guide planning, milestones, and documentation.

You will lead IPTs, advise senior leadership, develop CRPs, and ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS while mentoring junior staff and improving processes.

Qualifications

• 25+ years of DoD acquisition or related experience.
• Experience supporting ACAT I or MDAP programs.
• Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS and DoD/Army policies.
• Proven ability to prepare briefings and acquisition documentation.
• Ability to communicate with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead acquisition planning and execution across the life cycle.
• Advise Government leadership on strategies, policies, and guidance.
• Develop, review, and coordinate acquisition documentation and milestones.
• Coordinate solicitations, contract mods, and source selections.
• Review CDRL deliverables for quality and compliance.
• Prepare executive briefings, issue papers, and staffing packages.
• Lead IPT meetings and manage program risk with IPTs.
• Mentor acquisition team members and ensure QMS/AS9100 adherence.
