Job summary

Sound Transit in Seattle seeks a Manager of Configuration & Document Management to lead the department’s document control, data governance, and records management programs. You will architect unified libraries, metadata standards, and governance frameworks to ensure information integrity across repositories and data domains.

You’ll manage a multi-disciplinary team, mentor staff, and collaborate with Legal, IT, and project partners to support public records, audits, and digital transformation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; eight years in document management or records retention; four years in leadership, budgeting, planning, and workforce management.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and develops staff; manages workload, priorities, and professional growth.
• Leads metadata standards, naming conventions, and lifecycle management for digital repositories.
• Oversees use of SharePoint, Kahua, and Microsoft 365 for secure, organized data.
• Ensures compliance with PRA and other records/disclosure laws; supports audits and public records requests.
• Drives digital transformation, governance metrics, and system integration across platforms.
