Job summary

Salesforce, Inc. is seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to join our Public Cloud infrastructure team.

You will design, develop, and operate highly available distributed systems, writing robust Python services and infrastructure automation across multiple data centers. You will work with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), container orchestration (Kubernetes/Docker), and IaC tooling to deliver scalable solutions while focusing on security, reliability, and performance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years backend software development experience (Python) with Cloud Architecture.
• Strong Linux systems administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Professional Python experience with OOP, design patterns, data structures and concurrency.
• Public cloud engineering on AWS, GCP, and/or Azure; cloud provisioning and migration at scale.
• Experience with container tech and infra automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Deliver cloud infrastructure automation tools, frameworks, workflows, and validation platforms on public cloud platforms.
• Design, develop, debug, and operate resilient distributed systems across data centers.
• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code and microservices on Kubernetes/Docker.
• Write and maintain automation scripts and CI/CD pipelines.
• Address complex technical issues to improve availability, resilience, and performance.
• Participate in on-call rotations to keep services running smoothly.
