Job summary

Salesforce, Inc. is seeking an experienced backend software engineer to design, develop, and operate large-scale distributed systems. You will build cloud infrastructure automation tools, contribute to core backend services, and work across public clouds including AWS, GCP, Azure, and more.

The role emphasizes reliability, performance, and live-site readiness. You should have 5+ years of backend development experience, strong knowledge of concurrency, and hands-on experience with Kubernetes,

Qualifications

Deep experience with concurrency and large-scale distributed systems.
Proficiency in designing, developing, and operating core back-end services.
Experience with Agile methodologies and Test Driven Development.
Experience with distributed databases and relational databases like PostgreSQL is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, debug, and operate resilient distributed systems across data centers.
Build cloud infrastructure automation tools and workflows on public cloud platforms.
Write microservices using containerization frameworks like Kubernetes and Docker.
Participate in on-call rotations to keep services available and performant.
