Job summary

Virtual Technologies Group in Maryland is seeking a Principal-level DNS Subject Matter Expert to lead mission-critical network operations in a highly secure environment. This on-site role requires active TS clearance with SCI eligibility and Maryland residency, with 3 days per week on-site at Fort Meade.

You will own DNS architecture, oversee BGP routing, and cloud networking integration across AWS/Azure/hybrid environments, ensuring zero-downtime operations in classified settings.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility.
• On-site Maryland location 3 days per week.
• Extensive experience managing network operations in secure environments.
• Hands-on DNS architecture, implementation, and management expertise.
• Expert-level knowledge of BGP routing and large-scale infrastructure operations.
• Experience designing and supporting cloud networking environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical authority for enterprise DNS architecture and mission-critical network operations.
• Manage, configure, and troubleshoot complex BGP routing and network infrastructure in secure environments.
• Design and secure the integration of cloud networking architectures (AWS, Azure, or hybrid) with on-premise classified networks.
• Ensure zero-downtime, high-availability core network services and infrastructure.
• Act as the escalation point for diagnosing and resolving severe network outages and DNS issues.
