Job summary

Trace3 is seeking a Network Engineer III to join our on-site team supporting Federal and commercial contracts in the Baltimore/Annapolis Junction area. You will design, install, and maintain complex network infrastructures, work with routers, switches, firewalls, and cloud DevOps tools, and ensure security and performance to meet mission requirements.

The role requires a TS clearance, strong leadership, and collaboration with government and contractor stakeholders.

Qualifications

TS security clearance required; SCI Eligibility preferred.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
8+ years of experience in network engineering or related field.
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Experience with routers, switches, firewalls (Cisco/Aruba/Juniper) and VPNs.
Experience in a DevOps environment.
Willingness to learn about other technologies and solutions.
Ability to interface with government entities and contractors.
Knowledge of AWS, CNCF, CI/CD, cybersecurity.
Familiarity with Agile tools like Confluence and JIRA.

Responsibilities

On-site interaction with customers; be a key member of program teams.
Produce design and as-built documentation with minimal assistance.
Deliver on-site engineering services for medium to high complexity projects.
Document strategic customer service engagements per Trace3 guidelines.
Communicate project status clearly to customers, supervisors, and project managers.
Operate independently on small projects and with some supervision on large projects.
Mentor level one Field Engineers; support knowledge transfer.
Install, configure, and maintain network equipment.
Design, deploy, and troubleshoot enterprise technologies.
Develop documentation with a tech writer for existing and new networks.
Analyze load balancing, firewall, and security products.
