Job summary

Virtual Technologies Group is seeking a Principal DNS Subject Matter Expert to lead mission-critical network operations in a highly secure environment. This on-site role in Maryland requires an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and deep hands-on DNS, BGP, and cloud networking expertise.

You will drive enterprise DNS architecture, ensure zero-downtime operations, and manage secure cloud integration with on-premise networks while serving as the primary escalation point for outages

Qualifications

• Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• On-site Maryland-based role, 3 days per week.
• Extensive hands-on DNS engineering and network operations experience.
• Deep knowledge of DNS architecture, BGP, and cloud networking.

Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: primary technical authority for DNS architecture and operations.
• Network Engineering: manage complex BGP routing and secure network infrastructure.
• Cloud Integration: design and manage cloud networking (AWS/Azure) with on-premise networks.
• High Availability: ensure resilience and security of core network services.
• Incident Response: escalate and resolve severe outages and DNS issues.
