Job summary

Bot Auto is advancing autonomous trucks in the United States and seeks ML/vision researchers to push end-to-end development across perception, planning and control. You will work on deep learning, neural networks and foundation models for object detection, tracking and localization.

You will contribute to the complete ML lifecycle, from data analysis and experiments to metric verification, while collaborating with product and simulation teams to broaden ML impact across all components.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree required (Ph.D. or Master’s) in a related field such as computer science, computer engineering, robotics, mathematics or physics.
• In-depth knowledge of machine learning and computer vision, modern transformer architectures, and SOTA techniques.
• Familiarity with PyTorch, TensorFlow and other ML platforms/tools.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while collaborating on larger projects.

Responsibilities

• Explore and propose new ideas using deep learning, neural networks and large foundation models in autonomous driving, including end-to-end object detection, tracking, prediction, planning and control, and online mapping; SLAM in localization.
• Manage the entire life cycle of machine learning projects from data analysis and experiments to performance verification.
• Collaborate across product, simulation and other autonomous driving teams to extend machine learning to all components.
