Job summary

Bot Auto is seeking a highly skilled ML researcher to advance autonomous driving technologies. You will work on end-to-end ML projects, from data analysis to model evaluation, with emphasis on deep learning, neural networks and large foundation models.

The role is based in San Francisco and involves collaborative, cross-team work to push the boundaries of current technology. The candidate will contribute to designing, training, and validating ML models in a fast-paced startup environment,

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Ph.D or Master’s) in computer science, robotics, mathematics or related field.
• In-depth knowledge of machine learning and computer vision, modern transformer architectures, and SOTA techniques.
• Familiarity with PyTorch, TensorFlow and other ML platforms.
• Strong ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with cross-team projects.

Responsibilities

• Explore and propose new ideas using deep learning, neural networks and foundation models for autonomous driving including object detection, tracking, prediction, planning, and end-to-end control.
• Oversee the full life cycle of ML projects from data analysis and experiments to performance verification and metrics.
• Collaborate with product, simulation and other autonomous driving teams to extend ML technology across components.
