Job summary

Quotient-Inc (A VTG Company) in Bethesda, MD is seeking a senior Python/Django Developer to own and modernize shared capabilities across applications while serving as a technical escalation point.

You will blend hands-on development with architecture work, secure identity and database integration, and mentor teams across on-premises and AWS environments. Ideal candidates have strong CI/CD, automated testing, and modern JavaScript, plus familiarity with Oracle and PostgreSQL.

Qualifications

• Senior full-stack developer to own and modernize Python/Django capabilities.
• Experience with secure identity and database integration across systems.
• Familiarity with on-premises and AWS deployments and DevOps collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Python/Django applications, REST APIs, and UI components.
• Lead end-of-life upgrades across the application portfolio with dependency inventory and migration guidance.
• Build, package, and distribute Python runtimes from source when installers are unavailable.
• Modernize shared Django infrastructure, ensuring Python 3.12+ compatibility and tests.
• Implement NIH Login/SiteMinder, CAS, AWS Cognito, JWT/OAuth2, and secure sessions.
• Connect Django apps to Oracle, PostgreSQL, AWS RDS, with centralized secrets management.
• Enforce CSP, XSS/CSRF protections, HSTS, secure headers, and remediation of dependencies.
