Job summary

GTN Technical Staffing seeks a Senior Software Engineer in Dallas, TX to design, build, and scale our data intelligence platform. You will own backend services with Django, deliver modern Vue.js frontends, and optimize SQL data models on Azure.

Collaborate across product, analytics, and infrastructure to ship robust features in a fast-paced environment. The role emphasizes sustainable code quality, DevOps alignment, and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 3+ years with Django or similar Python frameworks.
• 2+ years with Vue.js or comparable frontend frameworks.
• Strong relational DB knowledge and performance tuning.
• Experience in cloud environments, ideally Azure.
• Exposure to CI/CD, Git, testing, and code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using Django and Django REST Framework
• Build intuitive, responsive frontends using Vue.js and modern JavaScript tooling
• Write efficient SQL queries and manage relational data models in Azure-hosted databases
• Collaborate with DevOps and cloud teams to deploy scalable, secure applications on Azure
• Work with product owners to break down problems into clear technical requirements and deliverables
• Contribute to system design discussions, architecture reviews, and best practices
• Review code, mentor peers, and promote a collaborative engineering culture
• Participate in Agile processes including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
