The State of Arkansas’ Department of Finance and Administration seeks a senior manager to support the Division Administrator in day-to-day and strategic operations. This role leads planning, programs, budgeting, and policy execution in alignment with state law.

As a key advisor, you will oversee division-wide activities, supervise managers, and ensure performance against goals while maintaining transparency and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• The candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, accounting, finance, law, economics, or related field and six years of relevant experience.
• Strong writing and presentation skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
• Ability to develop and implement short- and long-term goals aligned with agency objectives.
• Proven capability to evaluate complex issues and make timely, data-informed decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead division-wide operations and supervise section chiefs or program leads.
• Coordinate development and implementation of policies and strategic plans.
• Oversee budget planning, fund management, procurement processes, and personnel actions.
• Provide technical guidance on revenue collection, budgeting, procurement, or accounting.
• Represent the division in high-level meetings, briefings, and interagency workgroups.
• Monitor program outcomes, financial trends, audits, and performance data.
• Act for the Division Administrator when delegated to ensure continuity.
