Job summary

Tacoma Public Schools is seeking a Senior Budget Analyst to perform complex financial and budget analysis for district budgeting, forecasting, and policy development. You will prepare reports, analyze revenues and expenditures, and support labor negotiations with district staff and managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in public administration, finance, or accounting; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum four years of progressive budget/financial analysis experience.
• Knowledge of school district budgeting and state budgeting requirements is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes budgets, forecasts revenues and expenditures, and assists in budget development.
• Supports labor negotiations with budget impact analyses and recommendations.
• Prepares financial reports and dashboards for district management and board presentations.
• Trains staff on new financial reporting techniques and systems.
