Job summary

Xcel Energy in Denver, Colorado seeks a Senior Engineer to apply engineering principles to complex projects, lead small to medium initiatives, and provide technical guidance within Operations, Maintenance, and regulatory contexts.

You will develop designs, support bid evaluations, coordinate with internal teams, and mentor staff, with compensation reflecting senior level responsibilities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET accredited.
• 2+ years relevant engineering experience.
• EIT/FE strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses and applies technical standards, principles, theories, concepts to perform activities/assignments.
• Supports development of technical documentation (designs, testing, calculations, reports, standards).
• Works under general direction for routine engineering projects; provides ongoing technical support for project activities.
• May lead small-medium, non-critical projects and coordinate critical projects under supervision.
• Supports bid/evaluation processes including preparation of bid documents and technical evaluations for proposals.
