Xcel Energy is seeking a senior leader to direct the Distribution Engineering organization. You will drive strategic planning, budgeting, and execution of distribution projects to optimize asset life and performance while representing the company in regulatory matters.

The role emphasizes cross-functional leadership, safety, and regulatory compliance, with a focus on reliability and customer satisfaction across multiple states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited curriculum or equivalent.
• Minimum of seven years in distribution engineering and/or design/operations with at least three years in supervision/management.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership for personnel regarding local and regional planning of the corporate electric distribution delivery system.
• Directs long-term plans to ensure system reliability and efficiency; inputs to capital budget.
• Coordinates unit activities with internal and external organizations to meet customer needs.
• Accountable for goals related to project completion, budgets, safety, facility performance, regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.
• Manages development of unit business plan and operating budget; monitors results and alignment with corporate objectives.
• Stays abreast of new technologies and represents the company in regional/national organizations.
