Irby Utilities seeks an experienced Distribution Operations Manager to lead a 300,000-square-foot distribution facility serving the electric utility industry. You will own warehouse operations, logistics, inventory, facilities, compliance, and financial results while building a strong team focused on safety, accountability, and dependable customer service.

You will partner with district leadership, sales, and customers to accelerate performance, resolve issues, and keep the operation moving

Qualifications

• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills for complex challenges.
• Experience leading a large warehouse, distribution center, or complex branch.
• Track record of improving safety, service, productivity, cost, or inventory.
• Experience leading through supervisors or managers.
• Strong financial and operational judgment; data-informed decisions.
• Leadership style that collaborates across operations, sales, and support teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall performance of a large, complex distribution operation.
• Prioritize best-in-class logistic processes and cross-branch collaboration.
• Develop and empower leaders and frontline team members through coaching and accountability.
• Improve safety, productivity, inventory accuracy, service levels, and consistency.
• Oversee shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, inventory control, transportation, facilities, and equipment.
• Manage operating expenses, working capital, and performance in partnership with district leadership.
• Establish clear processes and identify better ways to work.
• Partner with sales and customers to resolve service issues and grow the business.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and CDL qualifications.
• Develop the leadership team and create a supportive, high-expectation workplace.
