Job summary

GAI Consultants is seeking a Distribution Line Engineer 3 in Tempe, AZ. The role focuses on design, permitting, and delivery of electric utility projects within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

The candidate will work across T&D, substations, and renewable energy projects, applying multi-disciplinary engineering knowledge and leadership to deliver complex energy infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or better in Engineering or related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and permit overhead and underground distribution lines for T&D.
• Develop construction work packages with BOMs, staking sheets, and cost estimates.
• Lead engineering design tasks and mentor junior staff.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams to meet schedule and budget.
• Ensure designs comply with NESC and client standards.
