Job summary

GAI Consultants, Inc. seeks a Distribution Line Engineer 3 in Arizona within our Power Delivery Engineering Business Unit. The role involves designing and permitting overhead and underground distribution lines, developing construction work packages, and leading multidisciplinary teams on utility projects.

Candidates should have 8+ years in distribution line engineering, a B.S. or M.S. in Engineering, and a PE license. Travel up to 10–20% and mentoring junior staff are expected responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in distribution line engineering.
• PE license (Professional Engineer) in multiple states preferred.
• B.S. or M.S. in Engineering required.

Responsibilities

• Develops and reviews project documents for conformity and QA.
• Mentors junior engineers and reviews design work.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex energy infrastructure projects.
• Ensure designs comply with client standards, NESC, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to meet schedule and budget constraints.
