Job summary

Actalent in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Distribution Engineer to design and review overhead and underground distribution lines from 4 kV to 69 kV, and to develop URD, re-conductoring and asset replacement projects.

The role involves coordinating small design teams, preparing scoping documents, and supporting construction with client coordination. This is a fully remote position with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Design and review overhead and underground distribution lines from 4 kV to 69 kV.
• Develop overhead, URD, re-conductoring and asset replacement projects, and underground cable/conduit work packages.
• Design distribution projects in urban and rural environments per specifications.
• Coordinate small design teams to develop budgets, scoping documents, design criteria, and project deliverables.
• Provide engineering assistance during construction and attend construction meetings as needed.
• Identify corrective action when project objectives are not met.
• Interpret codes and regulations and develop construction standards.
• Promote engineering professionalism and standards.
• Develop plans with goals, resources, and schedules for complex engineering.
• JETS software experience required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate small design teams to prepare scoping documents, design criteria, and deliverables.
• Provide clients with engineering assistance during construction and attend coordination meetings as needed.
• Identify and initiate corrective action when project objectives are not being met.
• Interpret codes and regulations and develop standards for construction projects.
• Promote engineering professionalism and standards.
