Job summary

Actalent seeks a Distribution Engineer to join our Distribution Department. The role designs and reviews overhead and underground distribution lines from 4 kV to 69 kV, including URD, re-conductoring, and asset replacement projects, ensuring compliance with client quality standards.

You will coordinate small design teams, develop project deliverables, provide construction support, and participate in meetings and community outreach while upholding engineering professionalism and standards.

Qualifications

• Design and review overhead and underground distribution lines 4 kV–69 kV.
• Experience with URD, re-conductoring, and asset replacement projects.
• Ability to interpret codes, ensure client standards, and coordinate small design teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and review distribution lines from 4 kV to 69 kV.
• Develop overhead, URD, re-conductoring and asset replacement projects.
• Design underground distribution in urban and rural environments per specs.
• Coordinate small design teams for budgets, scoping docs, and deliverables.
• Provide construction support and attend meetings as needed.
• Identify corrective actions when objectives are not met.
• Interpret codes/regulations and develop construction standards.
• Promote engineering professionalism and standards.
• Plan with scheduling and resources for complex engineering projects.
• JETS software experience is required.
