Job summary

Lowe’s is seeking an Assistant General Manager to oversee daily operations in a large distribution center. This role reports to the Regional General Manager and leads Operations Managers to optimize safety, quality, throughput, and associate development.

Responsibilities include developing short and long-range staffing plans, managing labor and budget considerations, and driving continuous improvements to meet service and cost objectives while ensuring adherence to corporate policies.

Qualifications

• 5 years distribution operations experience in a large volume, automated DC environment.
• 3 years leadership experience with direct report responsibility.
• Proven record of safety compliance and building a safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Executes daily production plans to meet customer service level goals while maximizing efficiency, safely.
• Plans staffing short and long-term based on productivity objectives and forecasted volumes.
• Balances labor availability with volume requirements daily across the facility.
• Ensures safety policies are followed and that equipment/work areas are neat and organized.
• Oversees maintenance needs and inspection of the distribution center and equipment.
