Job summary

Tensorlake Inc. seeks experienced distributed systems engineers to build the core infrastructure for its durable application runtime. You will write schedulers, runtimes, and data plane components that other engineers rely on to build applications.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years designing distributed systems, production Rust experience, and the ability to lead fault-tolerant designs. You will work across the stack from core runtime to SDK capabilities in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building distributed systems infrastructure—designing & implementing from scratch.
• Proven production experience in Rust or other systems programming languages (C, C++, Go).
• Understand cluster schedulers, databases, and runtimes at the implementation level.
• Able to lead, design, and build fault-tolerant systems autonomously.
• Enjoy tackling performance challenges at the systems level (memory, concurrency, networking).
• Willing to participate in the full product development lifecycle from customer insights to implementation.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the durable application runtime to support advanced data processing and ML workflows.
• Design and implement core components of the cluster scheduler to improve resource utilization, reduce costs, and maximize performance.
• Write systems-level code in Rust for the data plane and execution engine.
• Design and build new capabilities for our SDKs.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to take concepts from idea to a polished product.
