Job summary

Anduril Industries in Seattle, WA is seeking a Software Engineer to join the SIE platform team. You will design, implement, and operate backend services that provision, orchestrate, and tear down distributed test environments on Kubernetes, building a coherent platform for engineers and external customers.

You will own major subsystems end-to-end, scale compute resources as demand grows, and improve interfaces so users can express complex test topologies without Kubernetes expertise.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Computer Science degree or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong production experience in Go, Rust, C++, Java, or Python.
• Experience building and operating distributed systems or infrastructure platforms in production.
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience with controllers, operators, and custom resources.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and modern build/deployment tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the backend services that provision, orchestrate, and tear down distributed test and simulation environments on Kubernetes.
• Own significant subsystems of the platform end-to-end—from design through rollout, operation, and iteration with users.
• Scale the platform's compute layer as demand grows, including capacity management and performance.
• Improve interfaces so users can describe complex test topologies without Kubernetes expertise.
• Support cloud and on‑prem deployments, tooling, and configuration for repeatable deployments.
