Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Senior Software Engineer with deep C++ and real-time systems experience to build the simulation layer of the SIE platform. You will design and implement services that let independent simulators share one world—a common clock, a unified entity namespace, and a clear ownership model.

This is a pivotal, early role where you set the technical direction, write design docs, and collaborate with internal teams and external customers to ship reliable, scalable software that

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Deep, current production experience in modern C++ (C++17+).
• Experience building networked, concurrent, or real-time systems in C++.
• Strong systems fundamentals: memory, sockets, Linux.
• Ability to profile and optimize a real system with data.
• Experience owning an ambiguous, cross-cutting project end-to-end.
• Comfort working with Go and TypeScript on the surrounding platform.
• Strong written and verbal communication; CS degree or equivalent.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design and build C++ services that federate simulators into a single world.
• Own the wire layer: encoding/decoding, transport, interoperability.
• Make simulation runs deterministic with time control and replay.
• Build tooling for scenario authoring and environment catalogs.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external customers to integrate simulators.
