Job summary

Idaho Materials & Construction, a CRH Company, seeks a Dispatch/Transportation Supervisor to oversee the dispatch/delivery process across multiple locations. You will manage schedules, drivers, and carriers, ensuring DOT compliance and cost-effective transportation.

Responsibilities include coordinating load planning, communicating changes to customers, and analyzing freight costs. Strong organizational, negotiation, and leadership skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Management and/or supervisory training.
• Solid understanding of industry regulations.
• 2+ years' experience in customer service or dispatch operations.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good time management and multi-tasking.
• Basic knowledge of accounting, purchasing, sales, marketing, or related field.
• Strong organizational, communication and people skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and review master dispatch/delivery schedule.
• Supervise dispatch operations and drivers.
• Hire and discipline drivers.
• Daily logistics planning for all locations.
• Ensure drivers' hours comply with DOT regulations.
• Staff and schedule dispatchers and drivers.
• Coordinate select carriers for daily customer service needs.
• Oversee load planning and ship tickets.
• Communicate delivery changes to sales and customers.
• Analyze transportation costs.
• Implement company policy programs and government rules.
• Coordinate multi-destination loads.
• Oversee load planning with TMS.
• Investigate billing/ticketing issues.
• Stay current with fuel surcharges.
• Coordinate repairs and safety with fleet manager.
• Other duties as needed.
