Job summary

Idaho Materials & Construction is seeking a Ready-Mix Dispatch Manager to oversee dispatch and transportation, coordinating with logistics staff and locations to ensure on-time deliveries.

The role requires strong computer skills, experience in dispatch operations, and the ability to manage drivers, schedules, and carrier relations while controlling costs and adhering to DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Management and/or supervisory training is beneficial.
• Solid understanding of industry regulations.
• 2+ years’ experience in customer service or dispatch operations.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Good time management and ability to multitask.
• Basic knowledge of accounting, purchasing, sales, marketing, or related field.
• Strong organizational, communication and people skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and review master dispatch/delivery schedule.
• Supervise and evaluate all dispatch operations and drivers.
• Hire and discipline company drivers.
• Perform daily logistics planning for all locations.
• Ensure drivers’ hours comply with DOT regulations.
• Oversee load planning and transportation cost analysis.
• Coordinate repairs and safety issues with fleet manager.
• Communicate delivery changes to sales and customers.
