Job summary

Shield AI’s Discrete Planning Group within the Autonomy Team for Hivemind Enterprise develops advanced algorithms for autonomous flight. You will architect high-quality software for core systems, set standards for software engineering, refine requirements, and mentor peers in a fast-moving environment.

You’ll research and implement state-of-the-art optimization methods, contribute to planning software, and shape a roadmap for future autonomy solutions and SDKs across multiple platforms.

Qualifications

• PhD in Optimization or Operations Research; MSc with 4+ years accepted.
• Expert in MILP, CP, convex optimization and multi-objective optimization with solvers.
• Strong C++ implementation experience and debugging in multi-threaded environments.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and implement optimization algorithms for task allocation and scheduling of autonomous vehicle teams.
• Solidify and improve C++ mission planning software across vehicle types and compute platforms.
• Define a technical roadmap for autonomy solutions and SDK offerings with cross-functional teams.
