Job summary

Shield AI seeks an experienced Software Integration Engineer to advance our Hivemind autonomy stack. You will become a power user of the SDK, validate customer use cases, and provide actionable feedback to engineering and product teams.

You’ll bridge engineering and real-world autonomy applications, integrating new capabilities, testing end-to-end workflows, and ensuring platform interoperability across simulation, hardware‑in‑the‑loop, and flight environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of related experience with a relevant degree.
• Proficiency in Python or C++.
• Experience with autonomous systems or middleware.
• Experience designing integration workflows and triaging defects.
• Proficiency with simulation tools and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
• Strong expertise with CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.
• Proven ability to deliver high‑quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Become a systems integration expert for autonomous robotics and AI-powered stack.
• Configure, deploy, and integrate multi-agent systems across simulation, HIL, and flight platforms.
• Understand end-to-end system from sensors to autonomous behaviors.
• Integrate new capabilities with cross-functional teams for interoperability.
• Lead bring-up and validation on new robotic hardware platforms.
• Configure drivers, interfaces, and adapters for full autonomy stack.
• Develop integration tooling, deployment scripts, and configuration management for CI/CD.
• Analyze logs and telemetry to diagnose defects and drive fixes.
• Ensure compatibility across platforms, OS, and deployment configurations.
• Collaborate with DevOps to streamline release readiness and CI pipelines.
