Job summary

CGS Federal in Chicago seeks a Discovery Database Administrator to support government contracting accounts. You will manage Microsoft SQL Server 2019 and 2022, implement security, create databases, indexes, stored procedures, maintenance jobs, and design reports.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Microsoft SQL Server 2019/2022.
• Security, tables, indexes, stored procedures, and maintenance jobs experience.
• Knowledge of data lakes, data warehouses, schemas, ER diagrams.
• Experience with high availability, log shipping, backups and recovery.
• Experience migrating systems to cloud infrastructure.
• SSRS report development and reporting server setup.
• Ability to design and maintain data models.

Responsibilities

• Provide DBA support including security, tables, indexes, and stored procedures.
• Maintain databases in a clustered environment and optimize performance.
• Design and maintain data models and data warehouse components.
• Apply best practices for data lake/data warehouse integration and schemas.
• Ensure backup, recovery, log shipping, and high availability.
• Migrate systems into cloud infrastructure and upgrade SQL Server versions.
• Set up reporting server and develop SSRS reports for business users.
