Job summary

CGS seeks a Senior Discovery Database Administrator to join a fast-paced Legal team. You will manage SQL Server 2019/2022, build secure databases, and develop SSRS reports while ensuring high availability and robust backups.

Responsibilities include data modeling, data lake/warehouse integration, cloud migration, and maintaining clustered environments. This role offers full-time employment and an opportunity to support government-focused projects.

Qualifications

• Experience managing Microsoft SQL Server 2019 and 2022, including security, tables, indexes, stored procedures.
• Knowledge of data lakes, data warehouses, data marts, metadata and data modeling.
• Experience with clustering, log shipping, backups and high availability.
• Migration of systems to cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Provide DBA support for Microsoft SQL Server 2019 and 2022; security, tables, indexes, stored procedures, reports, maintenance jobs.
• Create and maintain databases in clustered server environments; design data models.
• Apply data warehousing concepts and data modeling across data lake/warehouse architectures.
• Mirror servers, log shipping, backups, and high availability; ensure disaster recovery readiness.
• Migrate systems to cloud infrastructure and upgrade SQL Server versions.
• Develop reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and manage reporting servers.
