Job summary

CGS is seeking a Senior Discovery Database Administrator to join our Legal department. The role encompasses managing SQL Server 2019 and 2022, security setup, and report development with SSRS, as well as database design and maintenance in a clustered server environment.

The position also involves data lake/warehouse architecture, data modeling, high availability, backups, and cloud-migration activities, with opportunities for professional growth within CGS.

Qualifications

• Experience managing Microsoft SQL Server 2019 and 2022, including security setup, tables, indexes, stored procedures, and reporting
• Experience in creating/maintaining databases in a clustered server environment with data models and components
• Working knowledge of data lakes, data warehouse and data mart architectures, metadata and data modeling, data flow and ER diagrams
• Experience in database redundancy, log shipping, backups, and high availability, with full recovery capabilities for SQL Server
• Experience migrating systems to cloud infrastructure and upgrading SQL Server to latest versions, plus SSRS report development

Responsibilities

• Provide database administration support for SQL Server 2019/2022 and related duties
• Create and maintain databases in a clustered server environment and design data models
• Apply data lake/warehouse architecture concepts to integrate with legacy systems
• Implement redundancy, log shipping, backups, and high availability strategies
• Facilitate migration of systems to cloud infrastructure
• Upgrade SQL Server versions and develop reports using SSRS
• Set up a reporting server and perform DBA tasks and report development
