Job summary

The Valley of the Sun JCC seeks a Senior Director of Youth & Family to provide strategic vision and day-to-day operational leadership for programs serving children, teens, and families. This role oversees Shemesh Day Camp, early childhood center, after-school programs, teen initiatives, and family engagement, reporting to the Senior Leadership Team.

Qualifications

• Progressive leadership experience in youth development, early childhood, or related field.
• Experience growing programs, increasing participation, and managing toward financial goals.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in education, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Knowledge of Jewish culture and ability to integrate into programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, supervision, and accountability for directors and managers across Youth & Family program areas.
• Set annual goals and measures of success for each department.
• Develop a culture of collaboration, hospitality, and continuous improvement.
• Develop enrollment, participation, and revenue goals and monitor progress.
• Oversee program quality, safety, and compliance across Youth & Family programs.
• Partner with Marketing, Finance, HR, and Development to align strategy and resources.
• Foster Jewish life, Israel connection, and inclusive community across programs.
