Job summary

Valley of the Sun JCC invites a dynamic Senior Director of Youth & Family to provide vision, leadership, and operational oversight for programs serving children, teens, and families. You will supervise directors, work with senior leadership, and drive enrollment, engagement, and revenue while upholding Jewish values.

You will build staff capacity, optimize systems, and ensure safety and quality across ECC, camps, after‑school, and family programming, partnering with departments to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, early childhood education, social work, recreation, nonprofit management, or a related field.
• Significant leadership experience in youth development, early childhood education, camping, or family programming.
• Proven ability to grow programs, increase participation, and manage toward financial goals.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial management skills.
• Knowledge of Jewish culture, traditions, and values, with ability to incorporate Jewish learning into programs.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision for directors and managers across Youth & Family program areas.
• Establish annual goals, performance expectations, and measures of success for each department.
• Develop effective recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention strategies for year‑round and seasonal staff.
• Develop enrollment, participation, retention, and revenue targets for Youth & Family programs.
• Partner with Marketing to recruit and market ECC, camps, after‑school programs, and teen activities.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and consistent program standards across all Youth & Family areas.
