Position Summary

This role is crucial in developing and executing BMS's global medical strategy for our Oncology portfolio. The WW Medical Oncology Medical Product Lead (MPL) is a strategic leader responsible for medical insights, interpreting tumor landscapes, and disseminating clinical data. The Senior Director, MPL oversees the Izalontamab Brengitecan (IzaBren) asset across various Oncology indications, ensuring medical affairs strategies are well-developed and executed.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and execute the global medical strategy for IzaBren.
2. Lead the cross-functional Asset/Indication Medical Strategy (AIMS) team.
3. Position and develop the asset within BMS's disease area strategy.
4. Participate in senior leadership meetings to align on broader initiatives.
5. Oversee development across multiple tumor types, aligned with development plans.
6. Create and implement scientific narratives and medical communication strategies.
7. Develop evidence plans to address unmet needs and support research collaborations.
8. Manage medical communication plans, including publications and symposia.
9. Collaborate with various departments to ensure proper communication of scientific data.
10. Represent the asset in senior meetings and support business development.
11. Drive operational excellence within matrix teams.
12. Report program updates to leadership.
13. Coordinate with commercialization and external partners for medical insights and collaborations.
14. Establish relationships with key thought leaders and manage external engagements.
15. Develop access programs for pre-launch assets ensuring equitable access.
16. Manage budgets and resources effectively.
17. Lead and mentor teams, managing resources across functions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Advanced degree in life sciences or healthcare (MD, PharmD, PhD).
• At least 7 years in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in Oncology Medical Affairs or Clinical Research.
• Strong analytical, scientific interpretation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Excellent strategic, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Position based in HQ with approximately 20% travel.
