Job summary

Haskell is seeking an experienced Construction Director to oversee Municipal Water & Wastewater Construction at the group level. You will drive profit, schedule, quality, and safety, while recruiting and developing Project Directors and construction personnel.

You’ll shape policy, review designs and cost controls, and ensure contract compliance across projects. The role demands a 10+ year track record in industrial water facilities, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of construction

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management or equivalent plus 10 years or more of experience in Industrial Water/Wastewater facility construction, design, or management preferred.
• Extensive experience in the management of construction operations.
• Advanced knowledge of the construction industry and company operations.
• Knowledge of design and construction of Industrial Water/Wastewater facilities.
• Extensive knowledge of financial operations, estimating, and employee relations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Municipal Water & Wastewater Construction operations to meet profit, schedule, quality, and safety goals.
• Recruit, hire, assign projects, and develop construction personnel including Project Directors.
• Establish construction policy and procedures at corporate level and monitor contract compliance.
• Support project teams with cost control, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Approve subcontractor coverage and ensure Sub Guard enrollment and insurance as needed.
• Review drawings, assess change orders, and manage owner relations and contractual obligations.
• Direct timely project completion, close-out, and warranty resource deployment.
• Mentor Project Managers and develop Assistant Project Managers’ careers.
