Job summary

BrainTumor seeks a Director of Events to lead fundraising for the Philadelphia/Delaware region through large walk-a-thon and racing events. You will build committees, secure sponsors and in-kind support, and drive revenue growth while managing event budgets and volunteer teams.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in nonprofit fundraising, strong corporate partnership experience, and excellent communication and leadership abilities. Occasional travel and weekend work are required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of successful special event fundraising experience.
• Proven ability to plan and execute fundraising and sponsorship strategies.
• Willingness to travel ~10%+ and work nights/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Creates and implements fundraising strategies for walk-a-thon and racing events, including logistics and volunteer leadership.
• Builds strong event committees and secures sponsorships and in-kind donations.
• Develops and monitors event budgets and finances in accordance with procedures.
• Recruits and supervises internal and external event volunteers.
• Educates committees to solicit local sponsors and donors.
• Organizes internal event support gatherings and team recruitment efforts.
• Identifies major gift prospects and growth opportunities for events.
