Job summary

Veranex invites a senior veterinary pathologist to join the US Research Pathology team in Atlanta. You will provide people management, strategic business support, technical leadership and hands-on participation in preclinical studies.

The role requires a DVM with ACVP, 10+ years of experience including remote team leadership, and a proven track record in medical device pathology. Domestic travel up to 20% is expected.

Qualifications

• Must hold Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree with ACVP certification in Veterinary Pathology.
• Proven experience leading pathology teams and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage pathology studies across preclinical programs.
• Develop and implement pathology SOPs to ensure reproducibility and quality.
• Oversee budgeting and resource allocation for the pathology department.
• Mentor and develop Pathologist Technicians and remote staff.
• Oversee macroscopic and microscopic tissue evaluation and interpretation of studies.
• Coordinate and supervise necropsies and tissue handling procedures.
• Oversee report writing detailing study findings and integrating data into reports.
• Provide scientific input for experimental design and study planning.
