Job summary

The role directs pathology research operations, builds client relationships, manages budgets, and mentors a team of pathologists and technicians across domestic and remote sites to ensure high-quality, compliant outputs.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in veterinary medicine and ACVP certification in Veterinary Pathology.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience, including 5 years as a people manager overseeing remote teams.
• Medical Device Pathology Experience Preferred.
• 20% travel requirement, primarily domestic.

Responsibilities

• Drive development of pathology research operating procedures for reproducible high-quality output.
• Develop both short- and long-term project management execution strategies for compliance and client satisfaction.
• Foster strong client relationships at project and senior levels to promote client retention and opportunities.
• Establish and manage departmental budget.
• Manage and develop a team of Pathologist Technicians and remote pathologists to meet business objectives.
• Oversee gross and microscopic evaluation of tissues and preparation of reports detailing findings.
• Oversee writing of comprehensive report narratives and data integration into study reports.
• Coordinate surgery-histology validation, tissue harvesting, fixation procedures, and communication with surgeons.
