Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a medical or scientific discipline is required.
• Minimum of 4 years working in a vascular laboratory is required.
• ARDMS – Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography is required on hire.
• RVT – Registered Vascular Technologist or equivalent is required on hire.
• Familiar with all aspects of vascular technology and leadership responsibilities.
• Able to supervise personnel and coordinate resources with patient demand.
• Strong communication, adaptability and teamwork across departments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure space, equipment and supplies for vascular services with accuracy and safety.
• Recommend actions on plan, equipment, inventory, staffing and essential services.
• Maintain laboratory PACS and reporting systems and proper calibration of equipment.
• Ensure proper billing and complete documentation; maintain administrative records.
• Lead orientation and ongoing education for staff; delegate tasks when appropriate.
• Maintain accreditation for the vascular laboratory and coordinate interdepartmental communication.
• Oversee teaching of students, technologists and residents as needed.
• Triage requests and coordinate with referring physicians for timely examinations.
