Job summary

Stout in Miami seeks a Director for our Transaction Advisory practice. You will lead buy‑side and sell‑side financial due diligence engagements, guiding senior clients through valuation, deal structure, and negotiations with deep technical expertise.

You'll translate complex findings into actionable insights, manage multiple engagements and teams, and contribute to business development while mentoring junior staff. Travel up to 50% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• CPA required; Big Four or comparable experience preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant audit, financial accounting due diligence, or transaction advisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead buy-side and sell-side financial accounting due diligence engagements from scope through final deliverables.
• Advise clients on financial risks that may affect valuation, deal structure, and negotiations.
• Oversee earnings quality, working capital, net debt analyses and other transaction-specific analyses.
• Translate complex findings into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
• Lead client, management, and advisor meetings throughout the due diligence process.
• Review and approve due diligence reports and advise on financial considerations within purchase agreements.
• Manage multiple engagements and teams while maintaining high standards for client service.
• Build and expand client relationships and contribute to business development.
• Lead, coach, and develop team members and support recruiting.
