Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is seeking a Senior Director, Supply Chain - Distribution & Logistics to lead transformation initiatives across client networks. This role supports the Private Equity Performance Improvement Services practice and involves collaborating with clients on network optimization, inventory planning, and 3PL sourcing.

The position requires 10–15+ years of combined consulting and industry experience in distribution and logistics, with strong leadership and analytic skills.

Qualifications

• 10–15+ years of combined consulting and industry operating experience.
• Preference for leadership roles in Supply Chain / Distribution and Logistics.
• Experience with distribution and logistics analysis in industry, consulting, or 3PL.

Responsibilities

• Understand client supply chains including locations, product flow, and costs.
• Define opportunities and craft supply-chain strategies aligned to growth and financial goals.
• Analyze network design, baseline costs, and inventory flows across the network.
• Develop planning models to support inventory optimization across networks.
• Lead sourcing events for transportation and warehousing, including RFI/RFP processes.
• Advise on inventory planning improvements to optimize service and working capital.
• Develop transformation plans and implementation roadmaps with benefit estimates.
• Lead the project team and manage day-to-day client relationships.
• Perform independent analysis and guide junior team members.
